On Sunday 29th December 2024 in St Margaret’s Cathedral Bishop Frank formally opened the Jubilee Year in Galloway.
In his homily for the Mass the Bishop invited us all not to worry unduly about what we could do, not to put ourselves under pressure but to seek instead to use the year ahead to renew our focus on Christ, to listen for him in our lives, to pause, to reflect, and seeing him, to respond with an openness to his call, his invitation to us. If we do this, if we place our focus on Christ’s action and not our own, then we will be truly able to realise Christ’s call for us. It is not our work alone, but Christ working in us and through us, through our cooperation with him.
